UNESCO World Heritage Site...

The sacred temple complex consists of series of temples built during the 8th century by the chalukyas was declared as the World Heritage Site by the UNESCO for its artistic achievements. The temples are based on both Northern Nagara style and Southern Dravidian style architecture. All the temples are dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Virupaksha Temple is the only functioning temple among all the temples and in front there is a Nandi pavilion with a beautifully carved bull. It's a wonderful experience to see all the temples in the same place. The temples are listed below.
