With a bath here, the person feels rejuvenated, both his mind and body. The Kutralanathar temple is one of the most popular temples here, dedicated to lord Shiva. It is one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams of lord Shiva. The temple is 2000 years old with a lot of old Tamil inscriptions of Chola and Pandian periods. It is situated near Main Falls. According to the legend, it was Lord Shiva, who sent sage Agastya to the South to find a place that can avoid an imbalance due to overcrowding in the mount Kailash on his celestial wedding. Agastya found this place and he converted it into a Shiva temple. Five falls is another attraction preferred and by the tourists, at a distance of 5 km from main falls.
