Kappil Beach, Bekal - Panoramic scene of the Arabian Sea

If you are the one who prefers seclusion more than the crowd, kappil beach should be a perfect beach for you over the rest of the beaches, thanks to its location (as of now!) in North Kerala. Located at a distance of just 6 km from the popular Bekal fort, this beach is a wonderful backwater beach destination. Sun covered beaches with golden sands, enclosed by the glittering waters of the Arabian Sea and thick groves of casuarinas trees make this place a bewitching spot. If you want to view the panoramic scene of the Arabian Sea, you can climb the nearby cliff, which is known as the Kodi cliff. It will really be a visual treat and a must see spot for tourists. Nature has gifted the area with splendour.

Coconut trees align as a natural shelter for us. Incessantly waving to the tune of sea breeze, they spread green magical shade over the distant coastline. Calm emerald backwaters of the region flow into weary minds as a delight. The moderately shallow beach is suitable for swimming and sunbathing. The real joy at Kappil is the backwater ride through row boats. Besides, one can go for a leisurely walk from the beach to the cliff. Shopping is another popular activity here. There are a number of shops near the beach selling clothes, accessories and other interesting knick-knacks at reasonable prices. One can also savor sumptuous food at the eating joints and beach shacks.
