Paradise Beach (Full Moon Beach) - Gokarna

As per Hindu mythology, one has to toil for the good deeds in his life to reach the paradise after death. If it is attained, there wonโ€™t be any rebirth, the mythology says. In that way, Paradise beach, also known as Full moon beach is quite difficult to reach. But once there, no one will want to come out at the easiest. The beach is 150 meters long and most of them are covered by rocks. The beach was once the hot spot for all the hippies, due to the trade of weed going on there. When the issue was raised to the Government authorities, all these antisocial activities were curbed, shacks were broken, and all kinds of commercial activities were prohibited. There are 2 ways through which the beach can be reached. If you are good at bargaining, you can take a ferry from Om beach or Half moon beach to reach here. Second one is through a small hike from the Half moon beach that usually takes between around 30 minutes for a fit person. Though there is not much to do at the beach, the options available are beach trek, yoga, water sports etc. Because of its extremely secluded location, mobile network connectivity keeps coming on and off. It is relatively strong a little close to the entrance of the beach. For the same reason, the beach is advisable to visit on the day time (not after 5 PM).
