Thottada Beach - All Day Getaway

Thottada beach is a beautifully maintained destination in Kannur, known to simply relax and enjoy a family picnic in absolute tranquillity. The beach is ideal for sunbathers. This virgin beach remains one of the cleaner beaches of the coast due to being relatively unexplored as compared to the other beaches. The cleanliness, solitude and tranquillity are part of the charm of the beach, making it the ideal getaway for anyone to reconnect with nature and themselves. The serene vibe of the beach complements the lovely natural elements that form this alluring atmosphere. This 800 metre stretch is gorgeous coconut palms towering over the rocks of the shore, coloured between the spectrum of red and black. This beach is also the site where the Thottada river meets the Arabian Sea. Near the beach, the river forms swamp-like areas where one can find some interesting natural diversity. There are a lot of delicious shacks options along the way that one can lie on one of the rocks enjoying the vast expanse of blue. Water skiing, parasailing and boat rides are conducted by the district tourism council. These activities are scaled back during the rainy season when the sea seems to be rough.
